"Alone" was taken at Mammoth National Park in Yellowstone back in 2012. It remains one of my favorite images of the park and is presently gracing the wall of our home. The composition of this image was just too much to pass up, the texture of the tree, the reflection of it as it stood alone as the beautiful scorched earth surrounded it which ended up to be the very thing that took the trees life. As if on que, there were fluffy gray and white storm clouds over the mountains in the back ground. I have had many artist and clients comment that this image looks more like a painting then a photograph, and I would have to agree.
